WriteArt! Exercises: Passion

"There is a boundary to men's passions when they act from feelings; but none when they are under the influence of imagination."
-- Edmund Burke

"Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion."
-- G. W. F. Hegel

1. Make a list of all the passions in your life, great and small. Next to this list, write one of all the obsessions you've had. What are the differences that emerge?

2. Write a one page description of your own first love.

3. How would passion look? First, make a visual of passion using paints, ink, collage, clay or anything you like. Then write a few sentences describing passion as a tangible object.
